Tropicana Products Inc., a division of PepsiCo Inc., developed Tropicana Tropolis, a smooth blend of squeezable fruit for children packaged in pouches. The beverage is a good source of fiber and offers 100 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. Tropolis is available in CherryWorld, GrapeWorld and AppleWorld, and each is packaged in colorful pouches that are themed as a fictional universe. Tropicana worked with mothers, children and health experts, including dietitians and pediatricians, to develop the product, it says. Tropolis is available in select markets for $2.49 to $3.49 for a four-pack. Expanded distribution is expected in 2012, the company says.
